The Royal Tea

In honor of Meaghan and Harry's wedding, Irene invited the girls for a Royal Tea Party.

They looked good but so did we.

I supplied the cups and saucers and it was really fun to celebrate with tea and fancy dishes for a change.

St. Ann's Academy Graduation, 60th Reunion

We spent 3 days at Harrison with our friends from high school.
Our rooms overlooked the lake and we had lovely sunshine. We ate at the Black Forest Thursday night (delicious) and the Muddy Duck Cafe for Friday's lunch. Both were great and there was lots of laughs and conversation.

We shared many laughs with our memories.

The indoor pool and outdoor ones were a big hit!

So much fun. And here we are.

Isaiah's Band Concert

Had a lovely time at Isaiah's band concert tonight and surprised to see how tall he is now.
He had about 5 solos and has really progressed over the last year.
I was really impressed with the camaradrie of all the bandmembers and their stage presence and deportment. Isaiah now has a 4 member band that practises in their rec room once a week. They looked very smart in red and black.

Wallachs come to Gibsons

My sister Rosemary and Alex are down at the Coast for Alex's bi-yearly retired Forrester meeting.
She made me a quilt to cuddle in while I regained my strength.
She is an amazing quilter and it's beautiful.

Cousins for Dinner

We had the fun of having Nick and Sarah over for dinner. Adults visited over meal prep
while kids played.
They love their cousins, 5 times removed.

The family had a great time on the Caribean Cruise.
Next they spent a week in the sun and had fun in Miami.
Buster was ecstatic to have them back.

Friends at the Beach

I met friends down at Boonybrook Beach last summer. Their little cottage is across the road from the ocean.
This spot is where Capt. George Vancouver landed here back in 1845.
Winter storms have blocked most of the paths down to the beach.

Sick Time

I landed in Sechelt Hospital Jan. 3 with Atrial Fibrillation. I got sorted out with medications and returned home after 7 days but was weak and slipped on the stairs. Because I was on blood thinners, I lost 2 pints of blood into my tissue in my right butt and was readmitted after I collapsed in X-Ray. 2 pints of blood raised my hemoglobin but the stress put me into heart failure. It was a tough time with some kidney failure also.
This is what a serious bruise looks like, from butt to ankle. I couldn't sit or lie on my back for 7 weeks and it took 9 for me to roll over in bed. I had 4 admissions back to hospital over a month and finally got my heart restarted March 29 and started to recover. Thanks for all the love.

The Doyle Brothers Came Over

Chris and Paul are super handymen and brought their expertise to our place today.
There were 3 light bulbs, including 2 stuck in the receptacles, that were replaced. So thankful for the light over the stoptop when you cook.
Hana's baseboard heater hasn't worked for a year, but dusting and adjusting wires made it as good as new and warm now too.
Fun to be together, Chris kept walking by with a big smile on his face, saying, just a 3 second job.
Sure lucky with my kids.

New Year's Day, Polar Bear Swim

The families met at our favourite beach.
I carried down hot apple cider for the kids and adults brought stuff too.
Just 3 brave souls went in but more showed up and there was lots of fun.
Tara and I had so much sunshine behind us, we don't really show.
Hot tubs always help too.
